In my experience, that couldn't be further from the truth.

After more than twenty-five years designing homes around the world, from New York apartments and London townhouses to villas on the French Riviera, I have found that the most memorable interiors all have one thing in common, They feel effortless.

Not because they required less thought, but because every decision was made with intention.

True luxury isn't about impressing people the moment they walk through the door. It's about creating a home that quietly supports the way you live, making everyday moments feel beautiful, comfortable, and intuitive.

So what creates that feeling?

As people become better educated on the habits and lifestyle choices that positively impact physical and mental health, demand for wellness-related products and services continues to skyrocket.

Superfoods at the market. Fitness apps on our smartphones. Mindful moments in the morning.

Add wellness architecture to the list. 

People want their built environment to improve their overall wellbeing. As the movement has progressed, human-centered design (HCD) has emerged as a key component of wellness architecture.

Great design can quite literally turn any living space from zero to one hundred. You could be working with 400 square feet or 4,000, but regardless of size, the way a space is designed has the power to make it feel larger, brighter, more functional, and especially more personal.

Before we get started, why don’t I tell you a little bit more about myself and how I got here…

I’m a world travelling homebody. A lover of language. A wordplay wordsmith. A thirsty mind. A curious cat and a lover of dogs. A visual communicator who is quick to the draw.

I always dreamed of having the Barbie Dream House. I never got the Barbie Dream Home. I had to get creative! ‘It’s not about what you get, but what you give’ this was a phrase ingrained in me by my Mother from an early age. She raised us with a strong sense of values of doing onto others.

It’s better to give than to receive was a phrase my Mom often uttered. She showered us with love and that was better than any gift I could of ever asked for.

September 9th, 2021 a day I’ll never forget. It was the first day of school for many and it was last day I would have with my Mom.

We have all heard all the clichéd sayings about transformations and about needing to start from somewhere…the only way is up…..better now than never…

Color has a profound impact on our psyche. It helps encourage feelings and has symbolic meaning. Pink often associated with Love, Romance, Softness, Delicacy, Sweetness, Friendship, and Compassion.

There are many advantages in making sure that your home is as energy efficient as possible. Living in an energy efficient home makes you feel good, knowing that you're living a lifestyle that’s generally advantageous for the environment.
